ISPLC has been running annually since 1997 as a worldwide forum for
communications researchers and engineers to discuss issues relating to
the use of electrical power distribution cables as a viable communication channel.
An international meeting point for academics and industrial
researchers as well as regulators, ISPLC now is the leading technical conference
in the field of Power Line Communications (PLC) and the flagship event of the
IEEE PLC Technical Committee. Contributions presented at ISPLC span all aspects of
communications over power lines, including access, home networking, in-vehicle
applications, utility applications, and many more.
The most recent editions of ISPLC have been held in Johannesburg (South Africa, 2013),
Bejing (China, 2012), Udine (Italy, 2011), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil,2010) and Dresden
(Germany, 2009). The 2014 event will take place in Glasgow, Scotland.
